CITY PAY IT FORWARD

Making a Difference in the Community through Financial Education

We deliver transformative and impactful financial education programmes to schools, collaborating with teachers to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about money, careers, and their futures.

Small Organisation. Big Impact

A small group of business professionals and parents came together with one simple idea...

To make a difference in their community by helping children understand the basics of money. What began as a local effort has grown into an organisation with international reach, giving every child the grounding to make informed choices, drive aspiration and support genuine social mobility.
We believe anything is possible with the right financial knowledge and confidence behind you.

Our Mission

To close the financial literacy gap by giving every young person the knowledge to navigate money and opportunity with confidence.

International Reach

From a local initiative to a nationally recognised charity delivering programmes across the UK and beyond.

Volunteer-Led

Run entirely by volunteers who bring their professional expertise into classrooms, completely free of charge.

A bold new initiative to raise £2 million from City firms and individuals to deliver free, high-quality financial education to every year six child in the capital.

Partnering with businesses, schools, and educators to ensure no child leaves primary school without understanding how money works in the real world.

Who we are

Building Financial Confidence

City Pay it Forward is an independent, self-funded charity run entirely by volunteers. We work to close the financial literacy gap by giving young people the skills and confidence to navigate money, careers and opportunity.

Financial literacy is about more than money. It is about building confidence, raising aspiration and opening doors that might otherwise stay closed.

Our programmes create a clear journey. In primary school pupils learn the basics of saving, budgeting and understanding money. In secondary school that foundation develops into entrepreneurship, career awareness and direct encounters with the financial world.

Through Enterprise Challenges, Career Days, Insight Days and Investment Competitions, we bring learning to life in ways that are engaging, practical and transformative.

Financial Confidence

Financial Confidence Starts Early

Children establish attitude towards money by the age of seven years old and behaviours towards money by fourteen 1

Early intervention makes it vital to begin financial education at a young age. Our primary school programmes are designed to introduce core concepts in ways that are engaging, age appropriate and impactful.

By starting early, we help children form healthy money habits that will support them throughout their lives, while also building confidence and expanding their sense of what is possible for the future.
